I prayed for you
A divine affection
Did the warm embrace of my prayers reach you? Its soft wide arms pulling you into its tender embrace.
Did it soothe your aching heart? Giving life to the numbness you feel within.
Did it wipe away the falling silver tears on your cheeks? Loosening the tight expression of sadness on your bright face.
Did you feel the hand of my prayers on your shoulder, guiding you through those anxious nights?—Nights you wish for deeper sleeps and longer nights because it’s the only time you feel at peace.
Did it help bring a smile to your face?
I prayed for you…
In the dark and silence of the night, I prayed for you. In the coldness of the winter nights I prayed for you.
Despite my never ending supplications, I made space for you.
I think I’ve been praying for you ever since I knew how to, and I know I will continue until I’m no longer capable of doing so.
You are prayed for. I hope you feel this wherever you are.
Let it comfort you in your times of anguish and loneliness.

such beautifully written. there’s nothing better than being the person in someone’s duaas.
I often imagine angels being sent to that person, to offer that embrace or whisper those unheard words, the merging with the unseen world!
Lovely writing
