I sometimes imagine what it’d be like to be able to look into people’s eyes and tell what they’re thinking—what is on their mind, and help alleviate whatever emotional suffering they’re going through.
It’s silly, I know, but that’s the superpower I’d choose if I were ever offered one.
But then I wonder if I’d be able to handle it all…
People harbor incredibly heavy thoughts on their mind, thoughts that would make the weight of the Titanic feel like a floating leaf on a lake. Thoughts weighing so heavily on their hearts that it risks shattering. Thoughts that burden and exhaust them. Thoughts with no outlet for release. A noisy mind.
I sometimes feel overwhelmed by my own thoughts and emotions, let alone baring that of others. I don’t think I could handle it all, and I wouldn’t wish such a burden on my worst enemy.
To those who don’t have someone to talk to about their thoughts and feelings, a friend to confide in, an outlet to express them—I encourage you to write and journal. I know it might seem corny or cheesy, I used to think so myself, but trust me, you don’t want to keep bottling up those emotions. There’s only so much you can repress.
It will eventually overflow, and you will break.
An analogy I often references with regards to this is; “Even a pressure-cooker needs to release steam to avoid exploding.”
So do your heart a kindness—express yourself, find a healthy outlet, it could be through writing, painting, praying, or even talking to a trusted friend or family. Don’t repress them because the more you do, the more it festers and grow heavier.
Remember, even the strongest of hearts can break under the weight of unspoken pain.

I’ve tried soo many times to start journaling, but it seems like just being honest and facing myself is too difficult. How do you do that ? How to start ?
Absolutely! Needed this right now. Thank you for sharing
May Allah swt ease the burdens of our hearts...
